NEC Computers International is the world's fifth-largest PC manufacturer (source: Gartner DataQuest, Q1 2001) and is responsible for the PC and Intel-based server business of NEC Corporation (excluding USA, Japan and China). It manufactures in two production plants in Europe - Livingston in Scotland and Angers in France.

The needs of the business market are met through its NEC brand and those of the consumer market through its Packard Bell brand. Packard Bell is one of Europe's leading home PC providers - number two overall in Western Europe in 2000 (source: IDC European Market Tracker, Q1 2001).

In order to benefit our clients further, TeKnow supply NEC extended warranties at cost price. Standard warranties usually provide on site next business day service from an engineer. The standard warranty can be extended for periods up to 4 years on desktop PCs. All warranties are operated by NEC, in conjunction with Unisys.

A 3 year on site next business day warranty for an NEC desktop machine costs £69 + VAT. When you consider the cost of parts, engineer call out charges and disruption to your business in the event of a failure, you simply cannot ignore these products. Most of the NEC PowerMate range for business come supplied with a 3 year on site next business day warranty as standard.
